CampusSwap community rules

Post only items you are allowed to sell. No scams, counterfeit goods, stolen property, weapons, controlled substances, harassment, threats, or sexual content. Meet in a public campus location when possible and inspect an item before paying.

Use the Report and Block controls on a listing or in a conversation if something feels unsafe. CampusSwap may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

Privacy policy

CampusSwap stores account information (name, email, school), listings and their photos, purchase requests, private messages, saved listings, reports, and notification device tokens. Your browser or phone location is used on-device to calculate distance; it is not stored as your home location.

A listing's public map shows an approximate area. The seller's exact pickup address is shared only with the seller and buyers whose request has been accepted. Listing photos are stored in CampusSwap's Cloudflare R2 storage. You can delete your account in Settings; this removes your account data and listing photos.

Listing photos are resized and stripped of embedded metadata, including EXIF location data, before storage. Active login sessions record device/browser information and an IP address for account security. Notification tokens are used only to deliver the alerts you enable. CampusSwap does not sell personal data or use it for cross-app tracking.

Completed deal conversations are deleted after seven days. Open safety reports and a limited staff-action audit trail may be retained longer to investigate abuse, handle appeals, and protect the marketplace. Request access, correction, or deletion by using Settings or emailing support@campusswapapp.com.

CampusSwap connects students; buyers and sellers make their own arrangements and payments. We do not guarantee listings, payment, pickup, condition, or identity. Use reasonable care and follow campus policies and applicable law.
